Seller Agreement

As a seller, you commit to:
Accurate, honest listings with real photos
Shipping within your stated processing time
Responding to buyers within 48 hours
Responding to disputes within 72 hours
Proper packaging for live plant survival
Providing tracking within 24hrs of shipping
Only listing plants you own and can ship
Complying with all plant shipping laws
Prohibited seller activities:
Listing plants you don't have in stock
Using stock photos instead of real plant photos
Misrepresenting plant size, health, or species
Soliciting off-platform payments
Manipulating or incentivizing reviews
Listing prohibited or invasive species
Creating multiple accounts to evade bans
Shipping plants in poor or dying condition

1. Seller Account & Verification

To sell on Growth Lab Exchange, you must complete our seller onboarding process and accept this Seller Agreement. We offer a voluntary verification program that increases buyer trust and your shop's visibility. Unverified sellers may list up to 10 active listings. Verified sellers have unlimited listings, access to featured placement, and the Verified badge on their shop. Verification requires submitting a government-issued ID and, for businesses, business registration documents. We reserve the right to require additional verification at any time, particularly for high-value listings or sellers with dispute history.

2. Listing Requirements

All listings must include: at least 3 real photos of the actual plant being sold (not stock photos), accurate common and scientific name, honest description of plant health and condition, accurate size description, clear shipping price, and your actual processing time. Listings must not: use misleading titles designed to appear in unrelated searches, claim plants are rare or variegated when they are not, use photos of different plants than what is being sold, or misrepresent the quantity available. We actively monitor listings for accuracy. Inaccurate listings will be removed and may result in account suspension.

3. Pricing & Fees

You set your own prices. Growth Lab Games LLC charges a 5% platform fee on the sale price (excluding shipping) of each completed transaction. There are no listing fees, monthly fees, or fees for unsold listings. The platform fee is automatically deducted from your payout. You will receive 95% of the sale price plus 100% of the shipping amount you charged (we do not take a cut of shipping). Payouts are processed within 3-5 business days after payment release. Payment release occurs when: the buyer confirms delivery, 14 days pass after shipping confirmation with no dispute, or a dispute is resolved in your favor.

4. Shipping Obligations

You must ship within your stated processing time. If you cannot ship within your processing time, you must notify the buyer immediately and offer a cancellation if they prefer. All plants must be packaged to survive shipping. This includes: appropriate box size, packing material to prevent movement, moisture management, and heat/cold packs when temperatures require them. You are responsible for plant condition upon arrival if proper packaging was not used. You must provide tracking information within 24 hours of shipping. Failure to provide tracking may result in automatic dispute resolution in the buyer's favor.

5. Dispute Participation

When a dispute is opened on one of your orders, you have 72 hours to submit your response and evidence. Failure to respond within 72 hours may result in automatic resolution in the buyer's favor. You may submit: photos of the plant before packaging, photos of the packaged plant, tracking information, communication records with the buyer, and any other relevant evidence. Our team will review all evidence from both parties and issue a decision. Decisions are final unless new material evidence is presented within 7 days. You agree to accept our dispute resolution decisions as binding.

6. Trust Score

Every seller has a Trust Score (0-100) that is visible to buyers. Your Trust Score is calculated based on: completed sales without disputes (positive), dispute outcomes (winning disputes increases score, losing decreases it), response rate and time, buyer review ratings, and account age and verification status. New sellers start at 50. Verified sellers start at 75. Sellers with Trust Scores below 30 may have their accounts reviewed. Sellers with Trust Scores below 20 may be suspended pending review.

7. Account Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your seller account for: repeated inaccurate listings, losing multiple disputes due to seller fault, failure to ship orders, harassment of buyers, fraud or attempted fraud, violation of any provision of this Agreement, or any conduct we determine to be harmful to the Exchange community. Upon termination, any pending payouts for completed orders will be processed normally. Payouts for disputed or incomplete orders will be held pending resolution. You may appeal a suspension by contacting hello@growthlabgames.com within 14 days.

8. Taxes

You are solely responsible for determining and paying all applicable taxes on your sales, including income tax, sales tax, and any other taxes required by your jurisdiction. Growth Lab Games LLC will provide annual sales summaries to assist with tax reporting. We may be required to report seller earnings to tax authorities as required by law.
